David Johnson’s ‘anniversary’ cafe fundraiser raises £800!
Carole Johnson organised a cafe to raise funds and awareness of pancreatic cancer and in memory of her dear husband, David, who passed away one year ago from the disease.
The event raised nearly £800 for Pancreatic Cancer Action and Nightingale House Hospice by selling cakes and clothes. Thank you so much Carole and everyone who helped and donated! X
Here are some photos from the day and a little more about the wonderful David…

David Johnson was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in June 2013 and sadly passed away in June 2016. David’s wife Carole said at the time: “He was brave, strong and funny, to the end…We had 3 years from diagnosis, thanks to every treatment possible, and some very good times in those 3 years.”
David and Carole got involved with our Abraxane campaign as they were determined to let people know how the drug considerably improved his condition. They both helped raise awareness on our website, social media and the press.
We will always be eternally grateful to David for his help and support with the cause. You can read more about David’s Story here: “My husband is still here because of Abraxane“
