“He was brave, strong and funny, to the end.”
We are very sad to hear that David Johnson, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in June 2013, passed away on Saturday morning.
David’s wife Carole says: “He was brave, strong and funny, to the end. It’s been a long road and we will miss him badly.
“We had 3 years from diagnosis, thanks to every treatment possible, and some very good times in those 3 years. We are struggling to believe he is gone though, he was so full of life force.”
David and Carole got involved with our Abraxane campaign as they were determined to let people know how the drug considerably improved his condition. Carole said: ““We had no great expectations of the drug at the start, but it has worked better than anything else we’ve tried…and we’ve tried everything.”
We will always remember David and are eternally grateful to him and Carole for their help and support with the cause. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends at this sad time. xXx
