Share your story
Your voice could help save lives.
If you’ve been affected by pancreatic cancer, whether as a patient, survivor, friend, or family member, sharing your story is one of the most powerful ways you can raise awareness, support others, and drive change.
Your experience could give hope, comfort, and encouragement to someone else on their own journey. It could help someone recognise the symptoms, ask the right questions, or feel less alone. And in some cases, it could even save a life.
Share your story on our blog or social media
We regularly feature personal stories on our blog and social media channels to:
- Raise awareness of pancreatic cancer
- Highlight the importance of early diagnosis
- Show the reality of life with and after pancreatic cancer
- Remind others they are not alone
If you’d like to share your story in this way, please contact comms@panact.org and rest assured, we will always get your permission before publishing anything. Your contact details will never be shared without your express consent.
Talk in your community
Talking about pancreatic cancer is one of the most effective ways to raise awareness, especially as many people still know very little about the disease.
If you feel confident, you could:
- Share your experience in your local community, school, workplace, or support group
- Organise a talk at your community centre, church, or local club
- Distribute awareness materials to local businesses or events
We can support you with a ready-made presentation, leaflets, and talking points. Just email comms@panact.org to get started.
Even simply talking to your friends and family can be a powerful way to raise awareness — and to honour the person you’ve lost or are supporting.
Why your story matters
When you share your experience, it does more than raise awareness:
- It informs the resources we create for patients and health professionals
- It guides our research priorities and campaigns
- It helps us advocate for the policy changes we need from government
