Why leave a gift in your will?
There are many reasons why people decide to leave a gift in their will. It might be because someone they know has survived cancer thanks to an early diagnosis. For others, it might be that they’ve lost someone to cancer. Whatever the reason, your gift will enable us to help future pancreatic cancer patients and survivors to ensure that one day, everyone suffering from pancreatic cancer has a better chance of survival.
Frequently asked questions about legacy giving and gifts in wills

A legacy is a gift of money, property, or a valued possession that you leave to family, friends, and the causes you hold dear.

You can change your Will whenever you like, but you might find that you want to do it after major changes in your life, such as marriage, bereavement, divorce or the birth of children or grandchildren.

If you wish to make major revisions to your Will, you may have to ask your solicitor to do this, but you can make the process easier by using our Codicil Form and adding this to your existing Will.

If you are writing a new Will, you only need to give your solicitor our charity details, including our exact name, address, and registered charity number. If you want to add a charitable gift to an existing Will, simply complete our Codicil Form and present it to your solicitor.

There is no tax payable on a gift left to charity in your Will. It could also reduce the total amount of your estate that may be liable for inheritance tax.
