Bereaved Story

“This is a terrible disease that takes them in the cruellest of ways”

Tracey Cawood tells us about her husband, Clive, and his experiences with pancreatic cancer.

Before his diagnosis, Clive suffered from mid back pain, indigestion, tummy pain, pain on eating, change in toilet habits, smelly stools that didn’t flush easily, fatigue and low mood. His wife, Tracey, tells us more:

“My husband was diagnosed in May 2018 after years of being poorly and in a lot of pain. He had to have six months of intense chemotherapy and two months of radiotherapy.

“Then in January 2009, he had the Whipple operation, which went well, but he sadly passed away in October 2019.

“This is a terrible disease that takes them in the cruellest of ways. More funding and looking into it needs to be done.”
