Running for PCA in memory of loved ones

Our fundraisers have been busy this month running to raise awareness and funds of pancreatic cancer in memory of their loved ones. Here are few photos!

Jem and dad Steve

8 year old Jem ran the Surrey 2K on Sunday 12th March in 12 1/2 minutes! He ran in memory of his grandma Margaret Adams who sadly passed away from pancreatic cancer in March 2015.

Steve, Jem’s dad who also ran a half marathon, says: “Margaret’s attitude towards life was ‘just do it’, so here I am again Margaret, doing the Surrey Half in your memory and this year Jem is joining me and running the 2km” Together they raised an incredible £810!!

Joanna Jimenez-Owen

On Sunday 19th March Joanna Jimenez-Owen ran her first ever 10K for Pancreatic Cancer Action in memory of her mum who passed away 11 years ago aged 62. Joanna ran in a brilliant time of 58:10 and has almost raise £500!!

Well done to Thomas Preston, Harry Collins, Alex Preston, Freddie Collins (grandchildren), Lewis and Katie Burgess and Owen for running the Wigan Mile and raising a fantastic £300 in memory of their wonderful grandad Malcolm. Harry, Thomas and Lewis completed the 5k run as well Mile run!! Thank you to everyone who ran!
