Inca trek – Peru
On the 8th August 2015, Patricia Davies set for on one of the top ten trekking trails in he world – a nine day adventure trekking the Inca Trail in Peru! One of the most fascinating countries in South America, Peru has the most stunning landscapes and scenery not to mention the mysterious Inca sites.
Patricias challenge started in the Inca Capital of Curso at an altitude of 3,200m which then took her on to the only Inca Trial that leads to Machu Picchu – one of the Seven Wonders of the World!
Having lost her dear mum in June 2011, Patricia decided to take on this challenge in her memory raising over £1100 through JustGiving for Pancreatic Cancer Action. Patricia said of her trip –
” It was amazing, tough but achievable with some preparation and training.The organisation by Global Adventure Challenges was great and all the ground crew in Peru were amazing. I met some wonderful people all with the common goal of reaching Machu Picchu and raising money for various causes. I know my mam would have been proud of me. “
