Henford House raises over £500 for PCA!
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Henford House Care Home in Barchester for fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer Action!
They raised over £500 by holding a raffle and entertainment and selling Christmas cards over the festive season. this fundraiser was close to two employees hearts, Lynda Walker and Debbie Matthews, after losing their mother to pancreatic cancer.
Henford’s House General Manager, Lynne Leather, agreed it would be a great idea to suport the charity. The Activities Co-ordinator, Debbie Phillips, says:
“The residents had a wonderful afternoon with entertainment by Vanessa, who is a Country and Western performer, we then drew the raffle and had refreshments. Packs of Christmas cards had also been on sale leading up to Christmas and with the proceeds of the raffle and cars, £504 was raised!!!”
Well done and thank you to everyone involved! For more fundraising information on how to fundraise for us take a look at our fundraising toolkit, click here.
