After your surgery

Any surgery for pancreatic cancer is a major operation and will require a period of recovery and at home afterwards.

Immediately after your surgery, you may be unable to move around, eat and drink or carry out your daily activities as you were previously able. As you begin to recover, you will be able to increasingly get back to normal.

Your medical team should provide you with information before your surgery about recovery and what to expect. The information here can help to supplement this and may help you to think about your recovery during the days and weeks after surgery.
