The Shaun Wright Foundation family fun day 2018

Becky Wright set up the Shaun Wright Foundation in memory of her husband after he sadly passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2014. Since then she has worked tirelessly to put on all kinds of fundraising events including an annual family fun day for the past 4 years and each event draws in a great crowd.

This year the event raised over £3,200 towards their incredible total of £42,110! Becky says: “Everyone had a wonderful time and it has all been so worth it, even if I am a little frazzled”

Putting on these kind of events can be both physically and emotionally draining and we can’t thank Becky enough for all her hard work and dedication. The amount she has been able to raise truly shows how much support she has from friends and family and from local people.

Becky hopes to continue her efforts to hit the target of £47,000 to mark the age that Shaun was both diagnosed and sadly passed away from the devastating disease – £1,000 for every year of his life.
