Bake with us this summer to celebrate Pancreatic Cancer Action’s 15th Birthday.

Holding a bake sale or coffee morning is an easy, fun way to get everyone involved in fundraising.

They are quick to organise and can raise lots of money in a short time!

When?

Our 15th Birthday Bonanza runs across June, July and August so you can choose a date and time that suits you and your family and friends!

If your event is in your personal home, a weekend might be better to ensure people are off work. If you are doing it in a public area, hosting a bake sale over lunch time is sure to attract more people’s attention for a sweet treat!

Location

There are so many places you can hold your bake sale or coffee morning – schools, work, home, clubs or groups you’re a member of or even your local leisure centre or shops.

You may also like to hold a raffle or introduce a competition for the best cake or a guess the weight or flavour.

It’s not all about cakes

You don’t have to just be restricted to cakes! You could offer some homemade savoury treats. Don’t feel like buying is cheating! The fun about hosting an event is you can do whatever works best for you!

Spread the word and take photos!

Spread the word about your fundraising activities by sharing your story and event on social media. Adding photos and video can bring it all to life!

The difference your donations make

Here are just some of the amazing ways your fundraising helps us deliver our vital work.

£500 – Could get our accredited patient information into hospitals and cancer centres.
£50 – Could ensure a local GP or pharmacist gets expert information on detecting pancreatic cancer.
£10 – Could deliver patients and families specialist information and support.

Our work wouldn’t happen without the money you raise and donate. Every pound you raise helps us make a big difference to people with pancreatic cancer and enables us to support their families and loved ones.

Just some of the impact we have made with your support:

In 2024, we distributed over 3,800 health information booklets
free of charge to patients, healthcare professionals, carers and family members who need them.
We continue to fund a NHS Pancreatic Clinical Nurse Specialist post to support pancreatic cancer patients and their families.
To date, over 7,000 GPs in the UK have completed our accredited e-learning module – and we know from their first-hand experience that this has made a real difference in saving lives.
