Example: Jean Keast Turn’s Tavistock Purple
Pancreatic Cancer Action regional representative in Devon, Jean Keast, is determined to turn Tavistock purple this November for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. Jeans brother passed away from pancreatic cancer two years ago only 18 weeks after diagnosis and she is encouraging people to turn their shop fronts purple to raise awareness of the disease.
Jean is asking keen knitters to get involved and knit purple pansies in the run up to awareness month so a pansy trail can be made in Tavistock with businesses displaying the pansies in their windows!
To take part you can download and print the knitting pattern you can also contact Jean on [email protected]
If baking or knitting isn’t for you, why not have a go at folding purple paper cranes to raise awareness! This is a great activity for all the family! Download the instructions here: how-to-fold-a-paper-crane
