Trusts and foundations have been so generous in their support over the past few years and we are extremely grateful. Their funds enable us to continue to fund our valuable work.
There are a number of ways to offer support. Some foundations and charitable trusts may work in partnership with us, perhaps on a particular project while others may give one-off or annual unrestricted donations.
As an organisation we will continue to focus on the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and are committed to improving the survival rates of the disease.
We are currently funding £1,000,000 worth of research projects over the next 5 years. Called the Early Diagnosis Challenge Award, we are offering grants to researchers in the UK worth up to £40,000 per project. Find out more here
We have worked with the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) to develop free online interactive training on pancreatic cancer. Our GP e-learning module is available to GP’s and hospital doctors. Find out more here
Public Awareness Campaigns
Half of the pancreatic cancer patients have not heard of the disease before their own diagnosis. We provide awareness materials and create award winning campaigns to help raise awareness of the disease.
In November 2016, we launched a national awareness campaign – “Pancreatic Cancer Aware”. An ongoing project, designed to raise more public awareness of the symptoms of pancreatic cancer. Find out more about the campaign here – www.pancreaticcanceraware.org
