Better Placed Corporate Partnership
Better Placed have again in 2018 pulled out all the stops to support Pancreatic Cancer Action with a “turn it purple day” on November 15th. They baked, wore purple and even held two yoga sessions thanks to Urban Fitness. They have raised over £1,900 for us via their JustGiving page. A huge thank you.
Their support started in 2016 when Kate Siegal’s mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Kate’s company Better Placed were extremely supportive and threw themselves into fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer Action.
In 2016 34 employees took part in a mighty challenge to raise funds and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer Action. The challenge, which they called ‘The Italian Job’, was a 24 hour static bike-a-thon covering the distance from the UK to Rome (2000km) in all three of the company’s offices: London, Manchester and Leeds raising over £6,000. Read more about this challenge here!
Kate has continued to provide us with her support by completing numerous fundraising activities with close friends and colleagues from Better Placed who have offices in London, Leeds and Manchester. Kate has taken part in the Santa 5k run in London, various cake baking activities and truffle hunting day trips as well as encouraging BPR to get involved and raise awareness where they can. Last year they ran a social competition across all three offices and managed to raise over £1000.
Sadly another member of the company lost a close member of their family to this awful disease which has only reinforced how much ongoing support the charity needs in order to raise money and awareness.
We can’t thank them enough for their continued support.
