Hammer Bottom Hike
The Hammer Bottom Hike is a series of circular walks around Haslemere and the surrounding areas.
The Hammer Bottom Charitable Trust has an impressive track record. It is run solely by local volunteers, so virtually all money raised goes to worthy causes. It has previously hosted the TittyWittering Challenge (38 miles from Liphook to West Wittering) on 3 occasions and raised a total of over £60,000 for charities.
In 2015 they will be supporting Pancreatic Cancer Action and Action for A-T.
The event takes in some beautiful countryside and scenery, significantly enhanced by the opening of the A3 tunnel.. The main route encompasses, the Greensand Way, various trails over Hindhead Commons and the Devil’s Punch Bowl, Golden Valley, Waggoner’s Wells, Hammer Bottom and Blackdown. Shorter options of 7 and 16 miles are also available.
