Climbing to a future without pancreatic cancer, trekkers take on Mount Toubkal.

Jamie Rosenfeld, from Hertfordshire, will be taking part in the incredible challenge of climbing the highest peak in Morocco – Mount Toubkal. Jamie, along with 16 others will be starting the trek on the 15th March 2018 to help raise vital funds and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer Action.

Jamie and his family. Jamie is going to trek Mount Toubkal to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer ActionJamie’s mother, Kim Rosenfeld, very sadly passed away from pancreatic cancer, the UK’s fifth biggest cancer killer. Jamie and his family have since raised an exceptional amount of money for the charity which funded a nutritional recipe book for pancreatic cancer patients that is given out free of charge.

Jamie says, “The response and donations we have received so far have been overwhelming to say the least – now we just have to climb!

I am very happy to be raising money for Pancreatic Cancer Action and helping them with all the fantastic work they do”.

Pancreatic Cancer Action is committed to working towards earlier diagnosis of the disease so that surgery, currently the only cure, is made available to the sufferer.  The charity fund research into early diagnosis, provide medical education programmes, and launch awareness campaigns.

Ali Stunt, Founder of Pancreatic Cancer Action, said: “We are so delighted that Jamie and his family are once again fundraising for us in the amazing challenge. Their hard work is truly inspirational to us”.

“We rely solely on donations from the public and it’s thanks to people like Jamie and his team that we can continue our vital work. Please back them in their fundraising efforts so that we can continue research into early diagnosis and raise awareness of pancreatic cancer”.
