There’s an Aware Bear on the loose!

There’s a big bear on the run in and around the Farnham area! But don’t panic – It’s local resident, Roz Panayiotou training for the Great South Run which takes place on 21st October in Portsmouth

The #TeamPCA Aware Bear mascot is running The Great South RunRoz, our Corporate and Trust Fundraiser is taking on the 10 mile race dressed as our Aware Bear Mascot!

“I thought this would be a great way of raising the profile of Pancreatic Cancer Action and highlighting the vital work we do; raising awareness of pancreatic cancer, providing patient support, educational resources for GPs and Pharmacists and also funding medical research.

Training has been tough, but I have bear-ed with it and been spurred on by support from the charity, family and friends!”

Ali Stunt, Founder of Pancreatic Cancer Action, said: “When Roz told us that she would be running the Great South Run dressed as our Aware Bear we all thought she had gone crazy. It turns out she hadn’t and she just wanted to help raise even more awareness!”

“We are all supporting her and want to thank her so much for her dedication to Pancreatic Cancer Action.”
