January might seem like a long way off and the thought of going alcohol-free might be a distant thought for you with the excitement of Christmas! But, before you know it, January will be upon us and it’s great to plan “new year, new you” goals in advance.
If you’re looking to challenge yourself and get on a health kick this January, DryJan4PanCan is a fantastic place way to start 2019.
Whether the prospect of giving up alcohol for a whole month seems easy or challenging, we are here to support you; give you guidance; and motivate you.
Our Marketing Manager, Lu Constable, will be taking part in this year’s DryJan4PanCan challenge by giving up chocolate and will be writing a weekly blog update on how she’s getting on.
“I’m taking part in DryJan4PanCan this year and as I’m not much of a drinker, I thought I’d give up Chocolate. This feels like much more of a challenge for me as I eat chocolate pretty much every day but it’s nothing compared to the challenges that pancreatic cancer patients and their families face every day. So if I manage to raise a bit of money and some awareness too then it will totally be worth it! Wish me luck”
As well as Lu’s weekly blog, we will also be publishing a weekly motivational blog post.
Like Lu, don’t forget that you can take part by giving up something else you have a soft spot for. This could be giving up chocolate, sweets, crisps, coffee or even playing the PlayStation – it’s entirely up to you.
It might feel like it’s going to be a long month now but once you get going, the time will fly by!
