Sam aiming to run 155km in JogJan for PanCan in memory of dad

Sam lost her dad to pancreatic cancer after a short battle with the disease in 2016. She's now taking on JogJan for PanCan in his memory, with ambitions of running 155km throughout the month and raising much needed funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer.

Sam Lawrence and her dad

“I’ve signed up for #JogJanForPanCan to raise funds and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer Action.

I lost my dad on August 18th 2016 aged just 65, just 11 weeks after the first suggestion something was wrong. He was misdiagnosed with IBS for over six months before this.

My dad was the best grandad to my two girls I could ever dream of, he loved them more than life itself and the most painful thing from losing him is that he has missed the chance to see them grow up. I have ran many events for PCA before; Chester Marathon, Snowdon Marathon & a 50k ultra to name a few, and look forward to running many more in the hope of raising funds for this important cause.”
