On Tuesday 25th June, Ali Stunt (our founder, CEO and 12 year survivor of pancreatic cancer) and Kirstin (our Marketing Officer) from PCA HQ attended the RoE awards as exclusive charity partners. The awards were hosted by Training Matters magazine at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. With lots of awards up for grabs, we were thrilled to be joined by our very own pharmacy of the year – Knights Oakwood Pharmacy and our very own pharmacy ambassador, Ade Williams.

What are the RoE Awards?

The awards acknowledged and celebrated pharmacy staff from across the country; from medicine counter assistants, dispensing assistants, pharmacy technicians, and team leaders to non-pharmacy managers and delivery drivers. The awards were an opportunity for pharmacy staff members to nominate outstanding individuals; who they felt went above and beyond to support their customers.

The award categories

The Awards were separated into eleven categories:

  • Counter Intelligence Award
  • Customer Care Award
  • Healthy Living Adviser Award
  • Infant Care Champion
  • Innovation Award
  • Outstanding Contribution Award
  • Pharmacy Champion Award
  • Retail Skills Award
  • Rising Star Award
  • Service Excellence Award
  • Team Leader Award

It was a pleasure to meet you all!

We would like to congratulate all of the worthy winners from the day, it was so inspiring to hear about the many ways you have supported your patients throughout the year and continue to support your local communities with fantastic service!

This was also an opportunity for us to meet members of the pharmacy community who played a huge role in raising awareness of pancreatic cancer during our Turn it Purple Pharmacy of the Year Award (November). We loved hearing about your efforts in raising awareness of the disease and look forward to this years Turn it Purple!
