Pyjamas for PanCan at your workplace!

Take part in our Pyjamas for PanCan campaign on the 16th of April at your workplace and help us to raise vital funds and awareness of pancreatic cancer

We’ve put together a host of ideas and games in our guide to help get your fundraising underway which means you can have more fun and raise more funds!

What is Pyjamas for PanCan?

In 2018 we launched Pyjamas for PanCan and now it’s back for the second year, this year it’s set to be bigger and better!

We are asking our amazing supporters across the country to put on their PJ’s and say goodnight to pancreatic cancer; the cancer that has been kept in the dark for too long!

Whether that means holding an event at home, school, work or a local community group – the choice is yours!

Why should I take part?

Pancreatic cancer research is in need of vital funds as it has been underfunded for decades. Despite it being the UK’s 5th biggest cancer killer, pancreatic cancer receives less than 3% of cancer research funding. In 2013 investment in pancreatic cancer research amounted to only £5.4 million.

How can I get my work involved?

Start by planning how you are going to hold your Pyjama Day at work – why not set a theme? Onesies only, spots and tartan or purple pyjamas only?!

Get everyone involved with Pyjamas for PanCan in the office! If you can’t wear a full set of pyjamas for the day perhaps you can wear the Pyjamas for PanCan eye mask! Plus, there are a selection of great games to play in the fundraising pack too!

Other ideas:

  • Join a fun run in your jammies
  • Hold a book sale
  • Host a work coffee/bake sale
  • Donate an hour of your monthly salary
  • Ask your boss or company to match the funds you raise

Whatever you choose to wear you can certainly all get involved in the fundraising games and bake sales to help raise vital funds.

If you run out of pack materials then fear not, you can download more from our website here!

Who took part last year?

One of the companies that took part last year had this to say:

“Hope Street Xchange were honoured to make Pancreatic Cancer Action their dedicated charity of the year in support of building manager Rebecca, whose husband is currently going through treatment.

We have a building full of wonderful tenants who were only too happy to chill out in their PJs for a day to support this fantastic cause! We had pyjamas coming down the stairs, a giant pink bunny and a visit from the local radio station to cover the goings on. As well as a lot of fun, we raised over £300 for Pancreatic Cancer Action.”
