New stats show increase in survival rates

New statistics have sadly shown that pancreatic cancer is on the rise, but we were pleased to see some slightly more positive news in that the UK five year survival rate appears to be on the increase finally.

Based on 2012’s incidence statistics, the survival rate has increased – not by much and we still have an extremely long way to go – but to hear 4.7% after remaining at 3% for over 40 years may indicate that significant change is possible with all the awareness, research and education that is taking place.
