Lysis revealed as a sponsor for Pancreatic Cancer Action’s gala dinner

Pancreatic Cancer Action are delighted to announce that Lysis Financial are a sponsor of the charity’s Purple Ribbon Gala.

The gala dinner, which takes place on March 30th 2017 at The Cutty Sark, aims to raise vital funds in celebration of the work Pancreatic Cancer Action undertakes and Ali Stunt, the charity’s CEO and founder, reaching her tenth year of surviving pancreatic cancer.

Jon Sweet, chief executive officer at Lysis Financial, said: “Sadly, members of our team have experienced the loss of friends or family due to pancreatic cancer, and so Pancreatic Cancer Action is one of the charities that we have chosen to support. We are a company with a conscience and actively support charities that are close to hearts in many different and constructive ways.”

Formed in 2001, Lysis Financial, with huge experience in its field, are a business change management consultancy to the financial services market through expert governance, risk and compliance services.

Jon continues: “Lysis is delighted to support Pancreatic Cancer Action by sponsoring the drinks reception and canapes at the Purple Ribbon Gala. We are impressed with the great work the charity undertakes to ensure that more people survive this dreadful disease.”

Pancreatic cancer is the fifth biggest cancer killer in the UK and nearly 10,000 people a year are diagnosed with it. The disease has the lowest survival rate of all common cancers at just five per cent, which has barely changed in almost 50 years.

Pancreatic Cancer Action is committed to working towards earlier diagnosis of the disease so that surgery, currently the only cure, is made available to the sufferer. The charity fund research into early diagnosis, provide medical education programmes, and launch awareness campaigns.

Ali Stunt said: “We are very excited to have Lysis as sponsors of our first ever Purple Ribbon Gala. Sponsorship presents companies with a fantastic way to raise their profile and highlight their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, while making a huge difference to a small charity like ours.

“The Purple Ribbon Gala is going to be an amazing evening with guests experiencing a unique tour of the Cutty Sark and fine dining. There will also be the opportunity for guests to win some incredible prizes, such as luxury holidays, through a silent auction.”
