How to throw the perfect tea party
Hosting a tea party is so much more than a get together with friends, it’s all about the experience.
Here’s how to make your event unforgettable:
📍 Choose your perfect location!
You could be in the comfort of your own home or book a venue to host your tea party. If you love the great outdoors, have one in the garden or on a local park bench. Remember the only thing you can’t predict is the weather!
📅 Pick a date that works.
Finding a date that suits the majority of people can be tricky but not impossible! Is there any special dates that fall within the month to celebrate someone special whilst raising vital funds? A weekend or evening may suit better around busy working schedules.

Online: Set up your JustGiving page. It’s quick and easy. You can even download your unique QR code to display at your event, perfect for those who don’t carry cash.
Cash: Make sure you have a Pancreatic Cancer Action collection box, you can order one here.
Every penny you raise helps fund early diagnosis, support services, and awareness for pancreatic cancer.
🎀 Decorate with love. (and purple!)
Bring out your best China for the occasion. Table runners, napkins and flowers are a great way to make any table look special. For any PCA event, we always encourage a touch of purple!

🍰 Plan a delicious menu.
Are you offering sweet treats or some savoury bites? Think picky bits like sandwiches, cakes, sausage rolls, pastries. A little bit of each will go down a treat! Are you having strictly tea or another choice of drink?
🎶 Add some fun!
Set the mood with your favourite playlist. Want to go further? Try hosting a raffle, or some fun games to keep everyone entertained while supporting a great cause.
🤝 Ask for help and enjoy yourself.
Fundraising is about having fun and bringing people together whilst raising vital funds. Buying cakes certainly isn’t cheating if it makes your life easier. Ask for help if you need to. People will be more than willing to help out to make your event run smoothly.
