PCA are hosting an awareness stand and attending a GP Meeting at Princess Royal University Hospital

On the 4th December there will be an awareness stand and GP meeting to discuss both pancreatic cancer and pancreatitis, in order to help improve the early detection of pancreatic disease and cancer in primary care.

The event will be an opportunity to highlight the risk factors of pancreatic cancer and to know how pancreatic cancer is managed in order to support patients through their illness.

The event will be held at Princess Royal University Hospital in Orpington. We will have an awareness stand set up in the Hospital from 1-5 pm, followed by the GP meeting which will begin at 6:30pm.

Founder and CEO of Pancreatic Cancer Action, Ali Stunt will be speaking at the meeting to discuss her own personal journey with pancreatic cancer, followed by a range of specialist healthcare professionals. This meeting will also allow healthcare professionals to network.

The event has been organised by Mayur Kumar, in order to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer among both patients and members of the public.
