"Wonder woman" Frances Ford shares the story of her mother, also called Frances.
Frances Ford is a name well known at Pancreatic Cancer Action. There aren’t many challenges left that this wonder woman hasn’t conquered! Frances has run the London Marathon, Liverpool Rock & Roll Half Marathon in memory of her mother, Frances, and raised almost £10,000 in total for the charity. Below, she shares the story of her mum. Frances before being diagnosed suffered from back pain, indigestion, abdominal pain, pain on eating, and suffered a change in toilet habits.
“My inspirational mum passed away only days after being diagnosed. It is so important to share stories, symptoms and information, so others do not go through the suffering she went through for months before diagnosis.
“Our mum was the strongest person we have ever known and is missed every day. We will never stop spreading awareness until people are aware of every bit of information about this type of cancer.”
