Duck Derby for Pancreatic Cancer!
On Saturday 18th June, the town of Ballynure in Northern Ireland held a Summer Festival in which a ‘Duck Derby’ took place to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer Action and the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.
500 ducks were sold and all went down the river with the help of water jets from the local Fire Brigade! Alex McAfee, the only pancreatic cancer specialist nurse in Northern Ireland, was the ‘starter’. Also in attendance was danny Kinahan, Westminster MP for South Antrim and minister in the Northern Ireland Assembley, Paul Girvan.
Thank you to Sam Campbell and everyone who took part it in the Ballynure Community Day! Here are some brilliant photos of the day!
