Donr – Better Text Giving
It’s no secret that the vast majority of people all over the globe own a mobile phone, in fact, more than 5 billion people worldwide own smart phones! So why not utilise a channel that we all use day in, day out?
Text giving is one of the easiest and most convenient ways for our supporters to donate – especially when you’re out and about with no spare change or time. Available at your fingertips, it’s one of the most accessible fundraising methods around.
Text-to-donate an incredibly simple and a super-fast way to raise funds for pancreatic cancer and allows us here at PCA to continue our vital work in changing the future and the shocking statistics that come with this disease.
How do I donate?
You can donate a one-off amount of £1, £2, £3, £5, £10, £15 or £20.
All you have to do is:
It doesn’t matter if you include a £ or not, as long as the keyword ‘PANCAN’ is spelt correctly (it is not case sensitive so can be capitals or lower case) and the amount you’d like to donate is included in numerical value, not spelled out with letters, the donation will work!
Please be aware, the cost will text the donor the value of the donation plus one standard rate message.
Can I donate regularly using this method?
Absolutely! Donr takes the pressure off your hands when remembering to donate monthly with the recurring donation option. All this means is, instead of donating your amount once, it donates the same amount once a month along with your phone bill – couldn’t be easier right?!
All you have to do is follow the same steps as above but add MONTHLY after you type PANCAN.
e.g. texting: PANCANMONTHLY 5 to 70085 will donate £5 once a month!
