Determined woman swaps her weekend G&T’s for weekend running
After being affected by pancreatic cancer in 2018, Tabitha threw her hat in the ring and decided to apply for a 2019 Pancreatic Cancer Action London Marathon place. The cause is very close to Tabitha and her families’ hearts after a family member suffered the effects of the disease last year.
Tabitha says “All forms of cancer are destructive, harmful and impact many peoples lives of all ages. However pancreatic cancer has a very low survival rate, compared to other major cancers. It is important to recognise this and focus on improving these survival rate for the future.”
“Together we can beat cancer!”
Tabitha is swapping her weekend G&Ts for weekend training – whatever the weather! She is taking on the 2019 London Marathon to help those continue with the ongoing battle and support the loved ones around those who are diagnosed.
Good luck Tabitha, we are so grateful to receive your support and fundraising efforts. We can’t wait to cheer you on over the finish line in April.
