Blyth Spartans

Old Blyth Team - PCAJess started to fundraise for us back in April 2014, after sadly losing her dear dad Steve Carney to pc. Steve was a professional footballer and for those who remember he used to play for Newcastle United! Jess and her friends took part in the Race for life raising an amazing £1377.12!

Jess and her sister dived back into the fundraising this year too. Sarah Carney ran in the Manchester 10k in May and Jess organised a huge collection at the Blythe Spartans Football ground where her dad used to play.  Jess said “I just feel it is vital to gain as much money and awareness for such an incredibly worthy cause. It isn’t until you are hit with this heartbreaking illness in your family that you realise how little is known about Pancreatic Cancer and how important it is to make sure people understand the signs and we increase early diagnosis. I will carry on doing as much as I can for the charity until this happens.”

Sophie and Sarah - PCA

Jess and Sarah have so far managed to raise an amazing £3602.05 for Pancreatic Cancer Action not to mention the amount of awareness they have raised holding the bucket collection!

Thank you!
