24 hour cycle for Rob
On Saturday 30th May, Sarah and her brother Dan will be taking on the epic challenge of doing a 24 hour cycle ride in their home to raise money in memory of their beloved uncle, Rob.
Rob sadly passed away on the 29th April just 11 days after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Sarah says, “A lot of people say the same but our uncle was genuinely the best uncle you could ever wish for, he was kind, caring and had the best heart and the most wicked sense of humour, there was never an occasion that went by when he didn’t have us all in stitches!
Unfortunately due to the ongoing restrictions we were unable to attend his funeral to say goodbye as a family so me and my brother have decided to do a 24 hour indoor cycle where the donations will go towards his memory page which will then be donated to Pancreatic Cancer Action.
With the lockdown we never had a chance to say goodbye to Rob. We now know how difficult pancreatic cancer is to diagnose so this is our way of doing something for our amazing Uncle.
Hopefully these funds we raise will help put more resource into finding a way for earlier diagnosis for this horrible disease and giving people a better chance of survival.”
