Emma Montague

Fundraising Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As part of the fundraising team, my role is to support all of our amazing fundraisers that come through PCA’s doors! Whether this is holding an event or taking on a personal challenge, it’s a privilege supporting them every step of the way. I work collaboratively with the team to develop and grow our fundraising streams in order for us to increase our army of supporters so together we can drive up survival rates.

Describe yourself in 5 words

Compassionate, Caring, passionate, enthusiastic, fun

Why did you pick to work at PCA?

I have worked in the charity sector for around 8 years but my family have been personally touched by pancreatic cancer. My Grandad passed away only a week after being diagnosed. He was misdiagnosed several times and sadly I know this is not uncommon. Many families like mine receive a diagnosis without the option for any treatment. My wish is that more families experiencing PC in the future can be given hope!

What are your hobbies and interests?

I enjoy climbing with my husband and when on holiday you will probably find me doing a scary rock climb up a mountain in the Lake District! Homelife revolves around our mini petting zoo of 3 cats and a house rabbit.
