Purple Pansy Challenge – Day 5
CONGRATULATIONS!!
You have completed the whole five days of the Purple Pansy Challenge! It may have seemed tough at first, but you did it!
You have been awarded your fifth and final purple pansy…
Did you know?
While there is a need for government and other funding bodies to sit up and take notice, public awareness is also key to increasing the level of funding for pancreatic cancer.
The RBS Purple Pansy Challenge is just one of the ways we can do this. So, if you have any potential Purple Pansy Challenge sponsors who are hesitating to put their hands in their pockets, tell them about the statistics you have learnt about over the past few days and encourage them to dig deep!
A BIG THANK YOU
Your participation in this Purple Pansy Challenge, the associated sponsorship money plus all the other fundraising activities surrounding the week at RBS will mean that significant funds are raised for Pancreatic Cancer Action. We thank you enormously for all your support and fundraising efforts.
This vital money will help us fund:
- Free information and publications about pancreatic cancer for patients and their families
- Free trainee GP educational lectures/materials – so new GPs are better aware of the disease before they start practicing
- And when funds will allow, research into the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer
With your help we will “change the numbers” for pancreatic cancer.
A BIG “Thank You” from all of us at Pancreatic Cancer Action:

Ali Stunt (Founder & CEO); Phil Stunt (Chair of PCA); Helen Matthews (Fundraising & Events Manager); Charlotte Maude (Marketing); Jane McCue (Treasurer & IT Mgr); Neville Menezes (Consultant Pancreatic Surgeon & PCA Trustee); Carolyn Scott (GP Education Manager); Fiona Taylor (PR & Communications Manager)
