Did you know?

• 22 people a day die of pancreatic cancer in the UK
• The average life-expectancy on diagnosis of pancreatic cancer is only three to six months and only three per cent of patients will survive beyond five years
• This five year survival rate has not changed in over 40 years whereas survival rates for other cancers such as breast, colorectal and prostate have improved significantly over the same period
• The UK has one of the worst one-year survival rates for pancreatic cancer in Europe - people are diagnosed too late for surgery, currently the only cure.
