Founder and Chief Executive of Pancreatic Cancer Action is now a 5 year pancreatic cancer survivor

Ali Stunt 5-Year Pancreatic Cancer Survivor

Ali Stunt – five years post diagnosis for pancreatic cancer and feeling ‘better than ever’

Our  Chief Executive, Ali Stunt, who founded Pancreatic Cancer Action in 2010, today becomes one of only three per cent of people who survive beyond five years after a diagnosis for pancreatic cancer.

Ali was diagnosed with Stage IIB ductal adenocarcinoma of the pancreas on 30th August 2007. Fortunate to have been diagnosed in time for surgery, Ali went on to have combination chemotherapy and then chemo-radiotherapy. Her treatment finished in the summer of 2008 and since then, scans and blood tests have shown ‘no evidence of disease’

With a strong focus on early diagnosis, Ali now dedicates most of her time working to improve survival through awareness, education, information and increased research funding for pancreatic cancer. Put simply, she wants more people to have the same outcome she has had following a diagnosis for pancreatic cancer.
